A Week Ago I Told a Federal Judge He Was Naive
He said, "our country is going to be just fine."
“So, Jon, what have you been up to other than getting your name in the Miami Herald?”
“Just fighting the Trump Administration around the country.”
“Our country is going to be just fine. We got through Jim Crow, the Vietnam War. I am an optimist.”
“That’s because we come from different places. My family perished at Auschwitz. I never thought I would be saying this to a federal judge, but you’re being naive. Tell me, your Honor, what year is this?”
“ah, 2025”
“No it’s 1938. People just don’t know it yet.”
“You're just making things worse than they are.”
“No, I am trying to keep things from getting worse, and so are a lot of other people.”
That was it. He wished me luck. We shook hands and we parted.
So, readers.
Do you think that I am making things worse than they are?
If not, if you are not already involved in this fight, the bell tolls for you.
Believe it or not. This conversation was not recorded, but it is word-for-word how I remember it. If you are a lawyer and want to take part in litigation to preserve the rule of law, consider joining Lawyers for the Rule of Law. Lfrl.org.

I sure hope that We Are the SILENT MAJORITY FOR THIS DECADE.
Otherwise, Big Brother (1984), Putin, and 1938 are not far off.
Left up to the high court, it would be the 1860s
